King of Glory, King of Peace

Accompaniment - ["Keyboard"]

Most anthems for Christ the King/Reign of Christ/Christus Rex Sunday, the last Sunday of the liturgical year, are full of triumphant energy. But this music of great affection and depth, mirriring the poet's intimate love letter to the King of peace as well as glory. As emotion rises, so does the upward-moving tonality. The organ ends the piece quietly, almost in refle4ction. For times of petition and praise.
