Away in a Manger

Accompaniment - ["Keyboard"]

Reharmonizing a cherished Christmas carol is not for the faint of heart! But Osterman does it with style, the chord progressions faithful to the original but with delightful deviations. Although the piece begins in a plaintive manner, its climax in the third stanza is grand and glorious to support the text idea of being taken to heaven to live with Jesus Christ. For Christmas Vigil, Christmas Night, or Christmas Day.
