I Want Jesus to Walk with Me

Accompaniment - ["Keyboard"]

Right from the unsettling opening notes in the keyboard, it’s clear that this arrangement of the traditional spiritual is something special. The yearning for comfort in times of trouble (“breaking heart,” “sorrow”) on the journey through life is underlined by delicate, sensitive scoring that is nonetheless easy to learn. A stunning work; a powerful musical message.
