I Saw Eternity

SATB divisi a cappella, Octavo Lucy Walker's setting of the opening lines of Henry Vaughan's The World was her first commission as Composer-in-Residence with St Martin's Voices and premiered in London in 2023. Beginning with a gentle melody, the music grows into a radiant climax before gradually fading to a single pitch, beautifully reflecting the poem's vision of eternity. Ideal for experienced choirs, this expressive work is well suited as either an anthem or a concert selection.
